An intricate and fascinating study of snowdrops. Castell Penrhyn Castle in Gwynedd, North Wales is known for it's gardens and strong show of Snowdrops in spring. Images of the castle are transferred onto this piece, and the outline of the coastal area surrounding the castle trails across the design, giving it a strong sense of place. A sparkling snowdrop lit by morning sunshine takes centre stage.
Collage and transfer with acrylic on canvas (H22in x W: 18in), finished in oil.
